When I export it to load into Encore somehow the audio jumps out of sync at several different spots. I have a 15 minute short, shot at 23.976FPS. I am completely baffled at this point as Premiere works when open though it constantly wants to correct a bad closing then crashes or crashes trying to open any old project in turn causing PP to try and make backups, etc.Īny help would be great as I'm sure many folks will be running into exactly this issue on a fresh machine no less. note: All other Adobe CS5 MS applications run without issue.Ĭ:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Premiere Pro CS5\Adobe Premiere Pro.exeĬ:\WINDOWS\WinSxS\amd64_1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b_9.9177_none_08e695a3a8 3b6ce3\MSVCR90.dll

I am at a loss and not yet willing to test by going back to 7 and repeating upgrading all my files again just for kicks/hours.ġ) Install most of master suite Pshop, Premiere, AE, Dream,Ģ) install downloaded update to 5.0.3 as the normal updates fail.ģ) open cuda text file and add Quadro K1200Ĥ) open Premiere and create new project or open an old (but not ones PP has crashed with)ĥ) note mercury playback is enabled and on the timeline is working as it should.Ħ) On closing I get the errors. All software otherwise is as it has been for years except for W10 but as I said was tested fully.

I hate to think that installing on Windows 7/64 first and then updating machine to Windows 10 might be closest to how my other machines were, but the Nvidia K1200 and drivers could also be a culprit as the only variable. Not sure if my problem was a driver issue but while I had the latest driver loaded, moved back to the stock Windows 10 driver with the same results.

Now my new machine is a crash replacement and has the new card the Nvidia K1200.

So Premiere Pro has been flawless with mercury playback on a Nvidia M2800/laptop and workstation with a Quadro 4000. I have been running Master Suite CS5 for 5+ years on 2 machines including both on windows 10 since the summer. All my machines are i7/Nvidia with up to 32gig ram and 2-3 drives. This is a workstation for Master Suite as it replaces another similar workstation and the only real change is to a newer video card, the Nvidia Quadro K1200, so a slight improvement. I had installed GoPro Studio prior to that. I first updated it to windows 10 and lastly was installing Master Suite CS5. I have just started installing files and applications on a new workstation that came with Win 7/64.

If anyone could give me some pointers or advice on how to get some better playback, that would be fantastic!Īs you can see, apart from a few spikes here and there, none of them seem to be having issues with capping out. I've attached 3 screenshots, of my CPU usages, and the 2 harddrives, showing a few minutes playback in Premiere. This isn't JUST Premiere, as I said, I've seen a decline in After Effects performance as well. RAM is still PLENTY (usually around 20gb left), and it seems that both harddrives (Premiere is running on the SSD and the files used are on another harddrive) aren't maxed out either in capacity. When I check my CPU usage, everything is fine. Heck, at times it just doesn't update at all for a few seconds.

Sometimes it drops completely, down to just 1 or 2 frames per second. I have playback set to 25% size, and 1/4 resolution, and I still only get what I would guess is around 5-10 frames per second. Even if I play back the footage with no effects at all, playback is still choppy. The effects don't seem to matter much though.

There's a few effects on it, such as an overlay 720p footage, using Red Giant Looks twice (on one adjustment layer, and on the footage itself), and some other minor stuff like curves and such.

However, lately, especially Premiere has started giving me issues.Īt the moment, I'm editing to 1080p footage, in h.264 format. In the beginning, editing in After Effects CC and Premiere CC was smooth as butter. A few months back, I spent a bucket of gold on upgrading to a new high end computer.īut here's my problem.
